Airstream Trailer (2018)

Materials: Sheet steel, Plywood, Duck patterned fabric

Processes: CNC milling, Metal bending and shaping

Portable Stop-motion Stage (2017)

Materials: Second hand suitcase, Angle iron, Bar stock, Bolts, Nuts

Processes: O/A welding, TIG welding, Milling

This stage was built to expand the possibilities of where I could animate After realizing just how isolating the practice of stop-motion can be.  The stage is activated by a scissor lift mechanism.  The channels on the bottom are ā€œLā€ shaped, locking the legs in place when extended.  The perforated sheet allows for puppets to be tied down to the stage.  It is used for some shots in the pleinair sequence in Doublewide.

In Memoriam: Stolen Bikes (2018)

Materials: Aluminum, Rubber Mold, Black patina

Processes: Moldmaking, Foundry casting, TIG welding

A bike that I had a special attachment to was stolen from my basement.  This small statue was made to memorialize the bike.  The piece also satirizes how helpless I felt, and made the situation more bearable.  The mold for the frame is four parts, using a wedge to form the rear fork. The base and wheels were cast together in a two part mold.
